The public is invited to attend Tuesday’s meeting’s agenda has two important public projects to be presented and discussed: the Virginia Dare Winery expansion and Update on Geyserville Plaza

  • The Virginia Dare Winery has applied for a permit to expand and construct a wine processing facility and warehouse at 22290 Geyserville Avenue. This project will consist of external storage tanks, and (2) warehouses for wine processing and storage with landscaping and parking. Once complete, this large project will be constructed on multiple land parcels for a total of over 51 acres. The architectural firm will present details and answer questions about timing and design to the Geyserville planning committee and the public. This will be an opportunity for our neighbors to hear about this project and ask questions and make comments.
  • Update on Geyserville Plaza: All three community surveys initiated by the GPC indicated that Geyserville’s residents want a park. Geyserville is the only township without a recreational option for the residents. GPC has worked with James Gore and the County Parks Department, to meet this need. By partnering with the Geyserville MAC and The Geyserville Community Foundation, the park is closer to reality. The county has been very supportive of this endeavor, and donated the land connected to the Downtown Park ‘n Ride.
